CarBike Japan Policy
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
1. Service Overview
CarBike Japan provides vehicle sourcing support for overseas buyers interested in Japanese cars and motorcycles. Services may include market review, auction support, proxy bidding, documentation support, export coordination, and shipping coordination.
2. Service Scope
CarBike Japan may assist with vehicle searches, sourcing advice, estimated cost preparation, auction bidding support, export preparation, and shipping coordination. The exact scope depends on the customer request, vehicle type, destination, auction route, and selected service option.
3. Auction Access and Third-Party Providers
Customers do not receive direct access to Japanese dealer auctions through this website. CarBike Japan may use verified auction channels and third-party service providers where necessary to perform vehicle sourcing, bidding, transport, documentation, export, storage, inspection, or shipping-related services.
4. Estimates Are Not Final Costs
All vehicle prices, market values, auction estimates, freight estimates, exchange calculations, fees, and examples are estimates only. Final costs may vary depending on the auction result, exchange rates, auction fees, route-specific handling costs, inland transport, export documentation, storage, shipping, insurance, bank fees, and destination-side charges.
5. Purchase Reserve and Bid Approval
No bid will be placed until the required Purchase Reserve has been received and the customer has clearly approved the target vehicle, maximum bid, estimated costs, and bidding conditions.
Payment proof alone may not be sufficient. Funds must be received and confirmed by CarBike Japan before bidding can proceed.
6. Vehicle Condition and As-Is Sale
Vehicles are sourced and supplied on an “as-is, where-is” basis based on the auction sheet, inspection information, photographs, and other information available at the time of purchase.
CarBike Japan does not add any profit margin to the vehicle purchase price.
Used vehicles may have wear, deterioration, previous repairs, accident or repair history, corrosion, missing parts, mechanical issues, electrical issues, warning lights, fluid leaks, abnormal noises, mileage discrepancies, or other visible or hidden conditions that may not be identifiable before purchase.
The customer is responsible for reviewing the available auction sheet, inspection information, photographs, vehicle description, estimated costs, and other available information before providing Bid Approval.
After Bid Approval and a successful auction purchase, complaints, returns, refunds, price reductions, compensation requests, or cancellations relating to the vehicle’s age, condition, quality, defects, repair history, mileage, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose are not accepted, except where required by applicable law or where CarBike Japan has acted intentionally or with gross negligence.
CarBike Japan does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of auction sheets, inspection reports, photographs, mileage records, condition grades, vehicle descriptions, or other information prepared or supplied by auction venues, inspectors, sellers, transport providers, or other third parties.
7. Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for reviewing vehicle information, auction information, estimated costs, Purchase Reserve requirements, payment deadlines, import restrictions, destination-country requirements, taxes, registration rules, and Bid Approval conditions before authorizing any bidding activity.
8. Successful Bid and Payment Obligation
After a successful bid, the customer is responsible for the approved vehicle purchase and the associated auction fees, route-specific handling costs, inland transport, storage, documentation, export preparation, shipping, insurance, bank fees, exchange-related costs, and other actual costs.
Full payment of all outstanding amounts may be required before the vehicle, documents, keys, or related items are released to the customer or the customer’s nominated forwarder, carrier, yard, or representative.
9. Cancellation
After Bid Approval and bid placement, cancellation is not accepted as a general rule. After a successful bid, cancellation is not accepted as a general rule.
If the customer fails to proceed after a successful bid, the Purchase Reserve may be applied toward auction fees, cancellation penalties, resale losses, storage fees, transport costs, administrative costs, bank fees, and other actual costs or losses.
Please review the Cancellation Policy and Bid & Purchase Reserve Policy before providing Bid Approval.
10. Export and Shipping
Export schedules, vessel schedules, port availability, customs procedures, inspections, and delivery estimates may change due to circumstances outside CarBike Japan’s control.
Where the customer arranges export or shipping, responsibility for the vehicle passes to the customer after delivery to the customer’s nominated forwarder, carrier, yard, agent, or other representative, subject to the applicable agreement.
11. Limitation of Responsibility
CarBike Japan is not responsible for delays, losses, damage, additional charges, or other consequences caused by auction venues, sellers, inspectors, transport companies, ports, shipping companies, customs authorities, government agencies, financial institutions, natural disasters, strikes, accidents, or other circumstances outside CarBike Japan’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These limitations do not apply where CarBike Japan has acted intentionally or with gross negligence.
12. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, except where mandatory laws applicable to the customer require otherwise.
